Submission Requirements for Initial Evaluation

We aim to honor our commitment to provide a decision on next steps within one or two week of receiving an author’s proposal for an exclusive representation relationship with Jade Lotus Literary Agency. This timeline can be met only when a complete application is submitted.

The authors are asked to submit:

  1. A short author biography
  2. A brief cover letter introducing the author, the work, and its relevance to JLLA’s mission
  3. A manuscript (complete or partial, depending on genre)
  4. An author statement explaining intent, themes, and cultural context

Optional materials may include prior publications such as awards, recognitions, accolades, media coverage, or other relevant background information.

Submissions may be in the original language or in English. AI-assisted translations are acceptable for the initial review.
