Content Scope, Accepted Works & Exclusions

Jade Lotus Literary Agency/Jade Lotus Press (JLLA/JLP) represents literary, imaginative, and professionally oriented works intended for English-language publication in international markets.

Works We May Accept for Representation

Subject to editorial evaluation and market suitability, JLLA/JLP may consider:

  • Literary fiction and contemporary fiction
  • Science fiction, fantasy, and speculative fiction
  • Historical fiction (non-political, non-contemporary)
  • Culturally focused narratives and cross-cultural storytelling
  • Professionally oriented nonfiction, including:
    • Business, leadership, and management writing
    • Technology, innovation, and future-oriented thought leadership
    • Education, professional development, and applied expertise
    • Memoir or narrative nonfiction not involving politically sensitive subjects

All accepted works must be original, professionally developed, and suitable for international English-language readership.

Works JLLA/JLP Does Not Accept for Representation

As a matter of policy, JLLA/JLP does not represent:

  • Political fiction, political commentary, or political advocacy
  • Documentary, investigative, or journalistic works
  • Recent or contemporary historical fiction involving sensitive political events
  • Memoir or nonfiction addressing politically sensitive or contested topics
  • Works intended to critique, challenge, or reinterpret government policy, political ideology, or recent historical narratives

JLLA/JLP focuses exclusively on literary, cultural, imaginative, and professional works and does not represent content that may create legal, regulatory, or political risk in any country.
