Dr. Jay Hoss (legal name, Jamshid Hosseini Chaleshtari) is an emeritus professor in the Management Science and Operations & Supply Management area at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a doctorate in Systems Science & Cybernetics from Portolans State University (USA).

Dr. Hosseini has an extensive record of teaching, research, and consulting in various, but primarily, operations and systems-related areas of business. In his role as a university professor and Director of International Business Studies, he was involved with curriculum development, program development, faculty development, teaching and research around the world including Belgium, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam and many other countries. Global professional and academic collaboration continue to be Dr. Hosseini’s passion.

Dr. Hosseini’s funded grant programs include recruitment and training of IT students from India, academic program development in the Czech Republic and Russia via USAID-funded programs. His consulting activities have been in healthcare IT systems, public utilities, and market research in the entertainment industry.

Dr. Hosseini is also founder and CEO of US Global Connect, LLC (USGC), founded in 2017.  USGC operates in international training & education as well as international management services. More recently, USGC founded a subsidiary called Jade Lotus Literary Agency, LLC (JLLA). The agency aims to bridge cultures by connecting talented authors from Asia with American publishers, translators, and readers who value cross-cultural imagination and storytelling. Prior to founding USGC and continuing after, Dr. Hosseini has developed and conducted over 70 short-term study tours around the world, engaged in study abroad and other student mobility programs.
